Cavan Comhaltas (Ireland)

Comhaltas is an Irish association that has been promoting for the past 60 years traditional music and dancing from the green isle. The biggest and best known Festival that Comhaltas organises is in Cavan. The director, accordionist Martin Donohoe, brings to Locarno young musical talents discovered in 2011, accompanied by four dancers, specialists in traditional Irish dancing. With Martin Donohoe (accordion), Kavan Donohoe (uillean pipes, low whistles), Sean Owens (flute, whistles), Mickey Mc Donnell (flat buzuki), Clare Marie Mc Dermott (fiddle, dance), Aine Therese Dermott (dance), Blanaid Carney (dance) and Ciaran Anthony Mc Manus (dance).
